About Aimee Brooks
My Story
I am an independent filmmaker, writer, podcaster, media contributor, and actor. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of appearing in over a hundred episodes of television and multiple feature films. As a filmmaker, I strive to create compelling and boundary-pushing content that challenges and entertains audiences.
My passion for storytelling has driven me to found La Fond Films and become the CEO of Toxic Content, a female-owned podcast, film, and digital media production company. It brings me great joy to be able to use my skills and expertise to help others bring their own creative visions to life.
Currently, I am focusing on directing documentary projects and have several feature films lined up for production. Additionally, I am excited to announce that the second season of my podcast, Aimee Keeps it Creepy, is currently in production. I can’t wait for everyone to tune in and join me on this creepy journey.
Personal Life
I am a proud wife and mother of three wonderful children, living in my hometown of Los Angeles. I am passionate about vegan and vegetarian cooking, green living, natural beauty and candle making.
Becoming a mother at the age of 36 was the happiest time of my life, but it was not without its challenges. Like so many parents, I struggled to find the right balance between family and career. As a result, I made the decision to put my acting career on hold to be a full-time mom.
During this time, I discovered my love for writing and began working on my first novel. I also started my own podcast, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Now that my youngest child is in school, I have returned to filmmaking, and I am excited to see where this journey will take me.
Through it all, my family has been my inspiration. I am grateful for their love and support, and for the opportunities that have come my way. As I approach 50, I am excited to continue exploring new possibilities and sharing my journey with you. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!
Accidental Ghost Hunter
As someone who has acted in numerous horror films and is a fan of the genre, I have always been fascinated by the unknown and the unexplained. However, it wasn’t until I had a personal encounter with a ghost in my old Hollywood apartment that I became a true believer in the paranormal.
Now, much of my work revolves around the supernatural, whether it’s hosting my podcast where I share spooky stories and discuss all things eerie, or directing a documentary about Australia’s most haunted house – The Monte Cristo Homestead. I love to investigate and explore haunted locations, and you can even catch me filming my ghostly adventures.
